Privacy notice
Last updated 28 October 2026
SnapSent is run by Beat the Bookie Ltd ("we", "us"). This notice explains what we collect when you use SnapSent, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We're the data controller for this information.
What we collect
- Your account: your name and email address, and your password, which is stored scrambled so nobody can read it. If you sign in with Google, we get your name and email address from Google.
- Your business: your business name, brand voice and posting times, the names and addresses of your sites or jobs, and the email addresses of team members and anyone you add to approval or site alert lists.
- What you capture: photos, videos, voice notes and typed notes. Photos are resized on your phone before they're uploaded.
- Location, only when you ask: if you tap to use your location, your phone shares it once so we can look up the town or address. For a post we keep the town; for a new site or job we keep its address and map position.
- Payments: Stripe takes your card details. We never see or store your full card number; we keep your plan and whether it's paid.
- Connected social accounts: you sign in to Instagram, Facebook and the rest directly with them, through our publishing partner. We keep a reference to each account so we can post for you. We never see those passwords.
- Technical details: our hosting keeps short-term logs, such as IP address and browser type, to keep SnapSent secure and working.
How we use it
- To run SnapSent for you: store your captures, turn voice notes into text, write draft posts, email drafts for approval and site alerts, and post at your posting times.
- To take payment and keep billing records.
- To keep SnapSent secure, fix problems and improve it.
- To email you about your account and important changes.
The law lets us do this because we need it to provide the service you signed up for, because we have a legitimate interest in keeping SnapSent secure and working well, and because the law requires us to keep billing records.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising. We don't use your photos, notes or posts to train AI, and our AI providers' business terms say they don't either.
Who helps us run SnapSent
These companies process information for us, only to provide their part of the service:
- Supabase: our database and file storage, in London.
- Vercel: hosts the app.
- Anthropic: its Claude AI reads your photos and notes and writes the draft posts.
- OpenAI: turns voice notes into text. We don't keep the recording, only the text.
- Resend: sends our emails.
- Stripe: takes payments.
- Zernio and Blotato: publish your approved posts to the social accounts you connect.
- OpenStreetMap: turns a location into a town or address. It gets the map position, never your name or account.
Some of these companies are based in, or use servers in, the USA. When information goes outside the UK, we rely on the protections UK law sets out, such as the UK-US Data Bridge or the UK's approved contract terms.
Once a post goes out, it's public on that social network, and the network's own privacy policy applies to it there.
How long we keep it
- Your account, captures and posts: while your account is open.
- If you close your account: email support@snapsent.co.uk and we'll delete your photos, videos, notes and posts within 30 days. Copies in backups are overwritten in the normal backup cycle.
- Billing records: six years, because UK tax law requires it.
- Posts already published stay on each social network until you delete them there.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop or limit using it. You can also ask for a copy in a format you can take elsewhere. Email support@snapsent.co.uk and we'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
We only use the cookies that keep you signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies. Your phone also remembers a few small settings, such as whether you've closed the “Add to Home Screen” tip.
Children
SnapSent is for businesses and isn't meant for anyone under 18.
Changes to this notice
If we change this notice in a way that matters, we'll email account owners before the change applies.
